“If the walls of this place could speak!,” I think to myself as I walk the dark, beer stained corridors of the country music landmark. Willie Nelson, George Thorogood, Glen Campbell, all the iconic faces of the country music world, stare back at me through the glass of their worn-out picture frames. This is Billy Bob’s Texas where country music giants roam and where today 350 participants will attempt to climb the towering giant of Mount Lobuche in the Himalaya.
We were thrilled to present our adventure simulation, Lobuche, to an engaged group of participants at the kick-off of an American multinational data storage company’s seven-city program.
Rex Pemberton delivered the 2 ½ hour Lobuche adventure simulation to a group that had no idea what was coming. Peak Teams’ objective was to inspire and engage participants, to explore collaboration, teamwork and partnership, and to, ultimately, get the participants working well together. We succeeded.
Cries of “On Belay” erupted through the room as the energy gradually built. Attendees were taken by surprise. “I’ve been sitting through these things for over thirty years,” said one participant, “I’ve never seen anything like this before. I’m not a mountaineer. This is fantastic!”
A standing ovation rounded out Rex’s delivery. A job well done.
